Humidity: During the summer humidity is at high levels so in order to prevent mold growth, control the humidity in your home. Try using a home dehumidifier or place exhaust fans in rooms like your bathrooms, kitchen, and laundry rooms. This is so the exhaust fans can remove the moisture from these rooms making it harder for mold to grow.
Temperature Control: It’s important to keep temperature levels down in your home especially during the summer! In order for mold to grow, it has to reach a certain temperature around 77-88 degrees Fahrenheit. By setting the thermostat level low and using your air conditioner is a great method in prevent mold growth and staying cool this season.
Circulate Air: Keep the air in your home circulating since stagnant and stale air can lead to mold growth. Keep the vent open in all of your rooms, even the rooms that are rarely used.
